How to get there

  • By road via the Georgikis School Avenue and the extension of Thessaloniki – Epanomi.
  • By O.A.S.TH. buses. O.A.S.TH. is the second largest Urban Transport Organization in Greece. It provides high quality services and connects Thessaloniki with the Municipality of Thermaikos. The transfer to the Municipality of Thermaikos is made from the East IKEA Station and specifically from the following bus lines:
    • Line 69: This line starts from AS. IKEA and ends in Epanomi.
    • Line 71: This line starts from the New Railway Station of Thessaloniki and ends in Nea Michaniona.
    • Line 72: This line starts from AS. IKEA and ends in Nea Michaniona. On its way it crosses Perea, Neos Epivates, Agia Triada and Nea Kerasia before reaching Nea Michaniona.
    • Line 76: This line starts from AS. IKEA and ends in Angelochori. On its way it crosses Perea, Neos Epivates and Agia Triada before reaching the Port of Angelochori.
    • Line 77: This line starts from the center of Nea Kerasia, crosses Nea Michaniona and ends in Epanomi.
    • Line 88: This line starts from AS. IKEA, crosses some villages of the Municipality of Thermi and ends at noon of the Municipality of Thermaikos.
       
  • The sea transport between Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Thermaikos is a fact again. The boats of “karavakia Thessaloniki” travel on the Thermaikos Gulf carrying thousands of passengers to and from Thessaloniki, Kalamaria, Peraia, Neoi Epivates, and Agia Triada. Residents and visitors of Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Thermaikos have the additional option of sea transport from June to October to get to and from the city centre. With regular daily services they take you on a short (50’min) but, beautiful sea route. For fun or for the needs of everyday life from Thessaloniki to the Municipality of Thermaikos.
  • By private sailing or motorboat, by inflatable and by boat. A trip to the calm waters of the Municipality of Thermaikos, with a privately owned or chartered yacht. It offers the opportunity to sail, anchor in natural protected bays of rare beauty, visit beaches and swim safely in waters of unique purity and clarity.
  • By plane. Thessaloniki Makedonia International State Airport is located 10 km from the Municipality of Thermaikos. Its name from IATA is SKG (Salonika Greece). It serves local and international flights to European countries. It operates 24 hours as a passenger and cargo terminal with 14 parking spaces for aircraft of all sizes. The airport also houses the Thessaloniki Aeroclub. It operates 24 hours a day and has light aircraft for rent.
